In search of chrome with River Quest on the Muskegon

Andy and friend Andreas K from Germany traveled to the Muskegon River Lodge in search of steelhead Oct 25 and 26.  We fished with Captain Dave DeVries and Jay Allen of Riverquest Chaters -
I can't recommend the lodge or their guides highly enough!   The weather was perfect and fish were around.  Andreas got tight twice to smoking hot steelhead - only to learn that hooking and landing are different matters......

A great first exposure to be sure.  Andy continued his love/hate relationship with steelhead, having a picture of a nice resident brown to show for his efforts.  ( he decided not to take pictures of moldy salmon or the sucker he foul hooked...)

The river is in fine shape and the steelhead are definitely moving in and have started showing some interest in swung flies as the egg activity of spawning salmon starts to slow down....

Check out the lodge on our new website under travel tab, Muskegon River Lodge and let us know if you have an interest in having us book a steelhead adventure that you will not soon forget!

Soft Launch of new "Chifly.com" website

Finally we are launching our new site and are excited to emerge from darkness and join the modern age!

We hope that you enjoy the improvements such as search, multiple pictures with zoom, ratings and comments, content, pictures, sorting and a host of other bells and whistles.  There will be upgrades made during the coming months - primarily in adding content and better pictures, but we have to start somewhere!

In advance, we ask for your patience and understanding while we iron out inevitable kinks and bugs, but we are thrilled with the new look and feel.  A huge "Thanks" to Brad Schwarzhoff of B-Rad Inc for resurrecting and fixing a broken website!

Please send us comments and or suggestions regarding the site - we look forward to hearing from you !
